1911 BTR Automatic Perpetual Calendar Chronograph, 2006

The mastery of technology and design
Twenty years after introducing their emblematic 1911 collection, the Architects of Time present the ultimate Ebel series for men, a highly contemporary, entirely mechanical and eminently masculine collection of timepieces: 1911 BTR.
All models are powered exclusively by Ebel proprietary COSC-certified mechanical movements, each one developed, assembled and controlled in Ebel's workshops in Switzerland.
The most striking characteristic of the newly refined BTR body is its sheer size and sturdiness: the larger hexagonal case, 44.5 mm in diameter and water-resistant to a pressure of 10 atm, features a 32 mm dial opening and a broader more expressive bezel secured by powerful screws. This blend of unmistakable virility and refinement is also epitomized in the distinctive wristbands that combine imposing stature with the supremely comfortable feel and fit of the rugged metal bracelet, or hand-stitched alligator strap.
All Ebel proprietary movements are distinguished by the unmistakable outlines of the new Architects of Time oscillating weight, a unique design detail that symbolizes the fusion of the architect's compass and the “E” of Ebel. With its highly original openwork structure, this vital component serves not only as a distinctive signature of Ebel watchmaking expertise, but also as a window that reveals even more of the beauty of the movement.
1911 BTR automatic perpetual calendar chronograph models
The concept of the perpetual calendar comes quite naturally to the Architects of Time, who cultivate a vision of creations built to endure through passing generations. The highly sophisticated BTR Caliber 288 timepieces are endowed with the four traditional perpetual calendar counters. The high precision astronomical moon phase offers a degree of accuracy far superior to that of a traditional moon-phase display, clocking up a one-day difference only once in 122 years compared with just over 2 1/2 years for a standard version.
Pour correctors along the case sides serve to adjust the perpetual calendar functions, and can be handled by means of a special stylus provided in the dedicated presentation box. This elegant case is equipped with its own motor, to ensure that the various displays do indeed remain perpetually accurate, even when the watch is not being worn. The 1911 BTR Caliber 288 is issued in three separate limited series: stainless steel, 18K pink gold, 18K white gold.
