While technology and the mastery of time are the object of particularly advanced research and development at Concord, aesthetics and the mastery of space are never far behind. In addition to the emblematic case construction that transforms sturdiness into a style all its own, the temporal indications are consistently geared towards a boldly futuristic avant-garde. Witness the C1 EternalGravity.

This one-of-a-kind model measuring 48.5 mm in diameter accentuates its technical originality by lighting it up with sparkling brilliance. No less than 403 gemstones adorn the dial and the 18-carat white gold case, without ever compromising the Concord construction principles. This provocative watch opts for invisible-set baguette-cut diamonds to emphasise its shapely curves. The resulting impeccably smooth finish entirely conceals the material beneath the glittering carpet of gems. The case middle, bezel and the famous “fortifications” protecting the 3.3mm-thick sapphire crystal are also entirely paved. Even the push-button and the crown guard are ennobled by baguette-cut diamonds.

The dial proudly shows off its indications in the glow of the spotlights. The hour-circle in the foreground is bathed in light, with black diamonds taking the place of its traditional applied hour-markers. The taut, high-tech Concord hands make a striking contrast with the jewellery backdrop. The power-reserve and trust index displays face each other at 7.30 and 2.30 respectively, adopting orange-lacquered hands admirably matched by the flaming glow of the baguette-cut carnelians surrounding the indications and highlighting the flyback chronograph counter.

Meanwhile, the tourbillon and the small seconds play the masters of ceremony. Strategically positioned alongside the watch face and body, the tourbillon carriage is linked to the movement by a perpendicular pinion requiring extremely meticulous adjustment. Engraved on an aluminium ribbon fixed to the lower tourbillon bridge, the luminescent seconds are thus completely interdependent with the carriage that spins on its axis once a minute. They scroll through an open window on the side of the tourbillon carriage, and the latter's vertical position ensures they are perfectly visible on the watch face.

The 38-jewel hand-wound movement oscillating at 21,600 vibrations per hour is revealed through the transparent case-back. The finishing and decoration of the bridges set the final touch to the design of this watch. The rubber-coated black alligator leather strap with its velvety texture is secured to the case by four self-locking screws. The lug-free attachment construction ensures a uniquely snug fit and enables perfect adjustment on the wrist.
