Carrera Calibre Heuer 01 Chronograph 43mm

Created, designed, hand-crafted and assembled in TAG Heuer’s workshops in la Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland, TAG Heuer presents its manufacture movement in the new Carrera calibre Heuer 01 chronograph. With a modular case,  an alliance of new materials, the Carrera calibre Heuer 01 fits perfectly the « avant-garde » spirit of TAG Heuer.

Born in 1963 from the imagination of Jack Heuer, the Carrera collection was inspired by the legendary “Carrera Panamericana Mexico road race.” In 2015, Carrera comes back with a new case, new architecture, new conception and new caliber. It is the TAG Heuer Carrera - Heuer 01. A manufacture chronograph movement, named «01» after first TAG Heuer founder Edouard Heuer and because it represents the markedly horological development of the calibre 1887, on which the new Carrera collection will be designed. In 2016, the Carrera calibre Heuer 01 chronograph comes with a plain black dial, enhancing the visibility of each of the 3 counters. The case is no longer the single piece traditionally used by TAG Heuer, but modular with 12 different components increasing the future creative possibilities on this collection.

The movement is the TAG Heuer calibre Heuer 01  which is the “in-house” automatic chronograph movement of the house. The dial is black with 3 counters. The indexes are hand-applied, polished and fine brushed, with white luminescent markers and a touch of red. With a 43 mm diameter, the case is modular and made of alternate finishings of polished and fine brushed stainless steel. Equipped with a scratch-resistant curved sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective treatment the chronograph has a water resistance of 100 meters. Finally it is adorned with a sporty black perforated rubber strap and a black titanium carbide coated titanium folding clasp with safety push buttons.

The Carrera calibre Heuer 01 chronograph is a symbol of the «avant-garde» TAG Heuer spirit, always looking into the future and exploring possibilities.
