CLASSIC Automatic
Power reserve: 42 h, 28800 vph
The launch of the new DeWitt CLASSIC collection marks an inspired change for the the Geneva workshops, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year.
While introducing a resolutely classic style and extremely pure lines, this new design remains faithful to the DeWitt DNA. Offering a subtle blend of character and elegance, the new CLASSIC collection is balanced and understated. The case is thinner than on the Academia and Twenty-8-Eight collections, and features a refined and understated version of the iconic imperial column motif. The 40 mm-diameter rose-gold case and the soft, curved lines of the horns give an impression of extreme lightness. In this same "urban" spirit, it houses a self-winding mechanical movement with hours, minutes and seconds, a calendar and a jumping hour.
The CLASSIC Automatic offers a power reserve of approximately 42 hours with its automatic movement indicating hours, minutes and seconds. It is also available in rose gold with a bezel set with 60 brilliant-cut diamonds (approx. 1.8 cts). Ranging from black to white, through a delicate shade of midnight blue, the sunray dials allow light and shadow to subtly interact with shape and colour. The CLASSIC Automatic is a paragon of traditional watchmaking expertise with its sunray dial, embellished with a railway circle, appliqué markers and 18-carat pinkgold openwork sword-shaped hands, fitted on a full-grain alligator strap. Finally, the new CLASSIC line meets the high standards of finish adopted by the DeWitt Manufacture since its creation: satin-finished, polished and chamfered surfaces.
The high quality of finishing work also applies to the oscillating weight embellished with "Côtes de Genève", signed by DeWitt, which can be seen through a sapphire crystal. There is also a "W" engraved on the rose gold fluted crown. Designed with the artistry and expertise of traditional Swiss watchmaking, the new CLASSIC collection by DeWitt is the result of a constant pursuit for harmony and aesthetics.
