CLASSIC MICRO-ROTOR EVERGREEN
Laurent Ferrier has always been committed to creating timepieces that are both modern yet timeless, with a seductive combination of technical prowess, functionality, and aesthetic purity. LAURENT FERRIER offers its contemporary vision of elegance and sophistication with a new version of its Micro-Rotor model: the Classic Micro-Rotor Evergreen.
AN EVERGREEN DIAL
The term ‘Evergreen’ combines timeless character with the associations of the colour green: a shade deeply connected with nature, growth and renewal. Embodying these principles, once again, the latest interpretation of the Micro-Rotor evokes this enduring elegance, while the new dial’s deep green brings a sense of harmony.
The timepiece boasts a 18-carat gold Classic round case combined with a delicate deep green dial, with a vertical satin-brushed finish. Optimal legibility is guaranteed by the indices, in 18-carat red gold.
Resolutely modern, this timepiece is the embodiment of ageless elegance, and is suitable for everyday wear as well as more formal occasions.
A TIME-TESTED CASE
The LAURENT FERRIER signature can be found in the tapered profile of the Classic case which is round, made out of 18-carat red gold with a diameter of 40 mm. Inspired both by the elegant, understated pocket watches of the 19th century and the “galet” or pebble in English, a stone without any sharp edges, it boasts LAURENT FERRIER’S refined aesthetic codes.
It features a ball-shaped winding crown, allowing for smooth handling. The meticulous design, all the way to the hooked case back topped with sapphire crystal, allows the wearer to admire the movement in all its beauty without distraction. Ingeniously, only the LF watchmakers are able to access the calibre via the olivette, located at the bottom of the back bezel. Both the Square and the Classic cases are water resistant up to 30 metres.
AN INVENTIVE MOVEMENT
This unique timepiece harmoniously combines the traditional principles of watchmaking with the latest technical advances. It is equipped with the FBN 229.01 calibre, a LAURENT FERRIER signature. This self-winding movement is equipped with a micro-rotor with natural escapement, a technical innovation that has been particularly well-received by enthusiasts. Characterised by a unidirectional ratchet-type micro-rotor, it boasts a three-day power reserve.
This exclusive LAURENT FERRIER movement was designed, assembled and adjusted in the LF workshops. It is equipped with a silicon escapement with a double direct impulse to the balance wheel: an innovation that allows the balance to be restarted twice per oscillation, requiring two escapement wheels and a pallet-lever with adjusted geometry. The combination of this modern composition with the use of cutting-edge materials maximises energy efficiency. In turn, this escapement’s excellent efficiency ensures a high amplitude balance wheel. Since less mechanical force is needed for winding the barrel spring, the movement’s winding mechanism is optimised.
Once again, LAURENT FERRIER demonstrates its ability to create exceptional, meticulously crafted, timeless timepieces with the purest of aesthetics.
