Passion, precision and rigorous discipline

In an era of widespread delocalization of production processes, Eric Mauron and Christophe Musy decided to found a deliberately local Manufacture with ideals and a philosophy intended for free spirits. All their components are entirely produced in Switzerland, based on a fundamental desire to offer a 100% Swiss Made watch that reflects the personalities of the company founders.

Testifying to the exceptional competence and passion of the individuals who created it, the Armure collection defies time and embodies the innovative expertise of this independent family business.

By rethinking the techniques of traditional watchmaking, Mauron Musy offers a glimpse of eternity. An inspiration in a world where innovation and tradition are not necessarily contradictory.

Complexity expressed through simplicity

Entirely rethinking the complex issue of water resistance was the daunting challenge taken up by the Manufacture Mauron Musy in 2013. After two years of careful thought, research and experimentation, the nO-Ring® complication was introduced, thereby enabling the creation of the first watch featuring direct-seal, gasket-free mechanical watertightness.

This ingenious process does without clamping screws. The assembly process of the bezel and case middle is based on the same principle as horizontally mounted clamp braces. The glass and back are held together by satellite springs, thus avoiding the constrictive screw-down closure that would deform the flat surfaces. The case middle and bezel thus compress the springs, whose vertical forces are transmitted to the glass and the back, thereby ensuring the all-important mastery of the required flatness and the appropriate roughness of the surface profile. These springs also absorb the vertical expansions due to variations in temperature.

The crown also operates on the principle of mechanical water resistance. Each crown shaft is fitted in its bearing, thereby creating such a nanometrically accurate fit that there is no risk of infiltration. This process required the development of several production and testing devices, all produced in the Mauron Musy workshops.

This avant-garde technology has given rise to the Armure collection, comprising sophisticated timepieces eliminating the need for synthetic materials and their inherent vulnerability over time.

A timepiece in which aesthetic and technical aspects are inseparable entwined

The Classic Steel Armure is distinguished by a rugged and restrained design forged in steel. The case alone comprises 36 components featuring meticulous hand-crafted finishing displaying high-end craftsmanship.

The elegance and simplicity of the sunburst Black Gold dial with diamond-polished hands lends a pure and understated face ensuring optimal readability of the time.

The Armure is equipped with a self-winding movement with a generous 65-hour power reserve, beating at a frequency of 4Hz and featuring a Swiss lever escapement.

The mechanised style of the architecture evoking the shape of a scarab beetle gives a slimmer look and feel to the imposing 44 mm diameter while creating an inimitable design. The robust and elegant nature of this collection embodies the transcendent power of raw and revolutionary waterproofness.
