Datron
A contemporary sport watch inspired by the classic 1970 Movado Datron self-winding chronograph, the sophisticated Datron™ automatic line, unveiled under the Series 800™ name last year, returns as a premier Movado family in the brand's new heritage category. Making their debut in 2010 are two limited edition Datron chronographs and a 3-hand bracelet model. Powered by a fine 37-jewel ETA self-winding movement with 42 hours of reserve power, and presented on a fine black or brown alligator strap with 18K pink gold buckle, the new limited edition Datron chronograph features a muscular 40 mm tonneau-shaped case with two chronograph push-buttons, sleekly crafted in solid 18K pink gold – a hefty 61.35 grams' worth. Protected by a curved sapphire crystal, its striking two-tone dial is available in anthracite grey with silver soleil eyes, or silver soleil with anthracite grey eyes. Each is impeccably detailed by thin pink gold-toned hands and applied hour markers, printed minute index, and contrasting round date aperture at 12 o'clock – an homage to the iconic Museum dot. Crafted in solid stainless steel, the new unisex 38 mm Datron 3-hand automatic bracelet watch features a fine 25-jewel ETA automatic movement with 38-hour power reserve, curved sapphire crystal, and white mother-of-pearl dial elegantly detailed by diamond-set hour markers. A butterfly deployment clasp secures the classic bright/brushed sport link bracelet. All three models feature sapphire crystal exhibition case-backs, and are water resistant to 5 ATM.
