Dôme Carré Angelheart La Nuit
The Angel Heart, which comes in two different cases, square and rectangular, featuring a heart on the dial that can be opened up, magically transforming the two halves of the heart into angel's wings.
The simple yet brilliantly innovative design uses the winding crown to open the heart, revealing the small seconds display. The dial can be enamelled, set with stones, covered with ebony wood or much more artisanal iteration. The heart/wings can be polished, enamelled or completely set with gemstones.
"I like that we have combined the symbol of love with the two wings of an angel," Wendt-Thévenaz adds. "The small seconds display is the heartbeat of the piece, and it's protected by the wings. This way, women can relate to their watch and have a relationship with it through the interaction.
The Angel Heart features a reliable, limited production automatic movement and the watch can be finished in just about any way imaginable. Customization and attention to the client's desire is one of DeLaneau's true strengths.
This stunning timepiece is available in a wide variety of precious metals, stone settings, finishings and décors. Whatever a client desires, within reason (and sometimes outside the realm of reason), can be accomplished by the artisans who work with DeLaneau. All the artisans are based in and around Geneva, so the complicated production of DeLaneau's stunning timepieces is like a symphony, with Wendt-Thévenaz as its conductor working in harmony with the movement designers and manufacturers, the stone setters, the finishers, the enamel artists, the miniature painters, and more.
"DeLaneau is really a patron of these artisans," says Wendt-Thévenaz. "We are committed to keeping these traditional arts alive, and using them to benefit feminine horology."
