ELECTUM, ’’Choose Your Time’’
ELECTUM finds its inspiration in the Vanitas paintings of the Renaissance, where the presence of symbols reminds us of the ephemeral nature of time.
The ELECTUM dial is composed of three distinct circles: the seconds, engraved on the outer flange, evokes the immediate present, the off-center hours at 6 o’clock represent the medium term, while the double date window at 12 o’clock heralds a more distant deadline. The size of the circles grows smaller as the temporal horizon grows more distant.
ELECTUM leads us to reflect on our time horizons, our priorities, and invites us at each tick of the hand to choose and master our course of action.
This watch changes our perception of daily challenges and adds a symbolic and philosophical dimension to the simple act of telling time.
The name, ‘Tempus Electum’, means ‘Chosen Time’ in Latin.
ELECTUM, Made to Measure
ELECTUM is the emblematic watch of the premiere BarraccO collection.
High quality components, space for personalization, and affordable prices are among the major assets of this watch. Each model is assembled according to the exact specifications of its future owner, thus becoming a unique object tailored to one’s taste and lifestyle.
Features that can be personalized include, among others, the type of case (stainless steel, ADLC), the color of the dial, the material and color of the bracelet (hand-stitched in small craft workshops), and even the positioning of one’s initials on the dial.
A brand designed for enthusiasts by an enthusiast
BarraccO (www.barraccowatches.com) is a young brand borne of the passion of one amateur watch collector, Tommaso Barracco, who, following a long professional career, decided to build his own line of watches, for which he demanded unparalleled quality and functionality.
To bring his vision to life, Tommaso surrounded himself with the best craftsmen and meticulously chose each and every component.
The BarraccO brand has chosen a pendulum as its symbol in honor of Galileo, the mind that discovered the principle of isochronism, the basis of every mechanical watch.
