Description

The “Element N°4” timepiece marks the prelude of the horological tetralogy “ARMADA COLLECTION” presented by CHEVALLEY LE BRIS.

Nestled in the fourth case of an evocative Logbook, Element N°4 takes us on a prestigious voyage. The spirit turned towards the sea and the adventure, this piece captures the eye by taking up the codes of yachting and navigation while highlighting the association of craftsmanship and fine watchmaking.

The first distinctive elements of this CHEVALLEY LE BRIS timepiece are the case and its clasp circle. The latter, specially developed to secure the Brand's watch cases, is a real challenge to ensure a homogeneous and reliable tension of the closing system. This mechanical complexity allows the wearer to change the watches as the wind and tides change.

The Element N°4 watch is marked by a complex and elegant dial made of carefully chosen materials and thoughtful details.

By selecting a pure mahogany wood, known for its aesthetic, robust and typical shipyard properties, the local marquetry craft is here highlighted and signed. A pear tree essence superbly brings a modern contrast to the mahogany, where the stainless steel, carbon and titanium create a more technical aspect.

Emblematic of the brand, the stratification of the circle reflects the world, the marine exploration and the synergy that brings the two founders together. The characteristic "Circles of Time" allow us to read the instant. They are the allegory of the marine compass and the course taken by the armada.

The whole bears the winding and the time setting at 9 o'clock. A handy crown is integrated into its protective case of which the shape evokes a mooring fairlead and enables it to be guided into the clasp circle.

A particular attention is devoted to the details of this timepiece, evoking the odyssey of the founders' creative thinking. Thus, the particular positioning of a detail on the dial is a reminder of the mythical Seven Seas from the navigators of yesteryear, under the benevolent eye of Poseidon.

Element N°4 takes care to preserve all of the fine watchmaking know-how in implementing the art of decoration. These admirable finitions are bringing the wearer on a sensory journey.

The design of the case back is ensured by a subtle retraction of all the screws. The back of this piece lets the calibre and its gold oscillating weight appear, marvelously sculpted with the brand's lettering. Like a crowning glory, the movement is adorned with an enigmatic ring engraved with a mantra reflecting the bold and conquering spirit of the traveller; an ode to discovery.

The CLB-V211 extra-flat calibre from CHEVALLEY LE BRIS, produced by a Swiss Haute Horlogerie Manufacture in the Val de Travers, is the result of a specific in-house development. With a view to aesthetics and legibility, the date has thus been moved to the outer limits of the dial. This remarkable work on the date has enabled the original design to be respected.

Through its significantly innovative concept, Element N°4 is masterfully blending fine-watching and technical worlds while steeping within the artistic and nautical one. The Logbook, the clasp circle, the cases, the spectacular play of materials and evocative details borrowed from the nautical world and placed at the service of fine watchmaking form the true DNA of the ARMADA COLLECTION by CHEVALLEY LE BRIS.
