Starting from scratch, I have calculated and drawn the movement and case of this first model, named 'l'Essentiel'.
Designed to emphasize the fundamental elements, the Essentiel is a watch with a classic and refined style. Its elegant proportions, with a 39 millimeters diameter and 8 millimeters thickness, make it comfortable for daily wear.
Its Grand Feu enamel dial, composed of two pieces, reveals a small second at six o'clock. The delicacy of the enamel decal, combined with the blue hands, provides a clear and precise display of the time.
But it is when turning this watch over that the magic truly happens; a large opening reveals a movement entirely handcrafted. Deliberately offering only the essentials, its sobriety allows the eye to wander and gradually appreciate the details of its architecture and finishes.
From the mainplate to the bridges, from the balance wheel to the smallest screw, each component has been shaped from raw material using manual tools such as lathes, milling machines, and files. The construction of the movement follows the codes of fine Swiss watchmaking from the late 19th century: the large size of the balance wheel and barrel, the shapes of the bridges, the escapement cap jewels, and the meticulous decorations - every detail bears witness to an ancestral know-how that has been honored.
In search of authenticity, the Essentiel is a balanced fusion of tradition, innovation and timeless elegance.
