Bianchet, family-owned, 100% independent Swiss watch brand, designs and develops its own ultra-modern tourbillon watches, drawing inspiration from age-old design principles such as the Golden Ratio 1.618 and the Fibonacci series, to create a collection of timepieces imbued with a spirit of timelessness and modernity.
Flying Tourbillon Grande Date B1.618, the second model of the young brand, captures the quintessence of ultra-modern trends with its sleek tonneau case in an exclusive Titanium-Dust-High-Density carbon composite, its fluid and flowing shapes, while showcasing an in-house openworked flying tourbillon movement in titanium with a big date.
Entirely made in Switzerland and assembled in the Bianchet workshop in La-Chaux-De-Fonds, the calibre is ennobled by hand finishing, which sublimates the beauty of its components. Particularly difficult to achieve on titanium, hand-bevelling, which is guided by the craftsman's hand, gives life to the contours of the bridges, reveals the shapes and adds sparkle to the winding parts, while leading the eye towards the transparency and subtleties of the movement architecture.
Precise positioning of the two complications within the movement aligns with the Golden Rectangles, forming the framework of its construction. The front bridge design originates from the tourbillon cage’s central point, following smooth curves dictated by the Fibonacci sequence. The back bridges develop within concentric Golden Circles, their diameters adhering to the Golden Ratio of 1.618.
One of the very few curved carbon watches capable of withstanding a water resistance to a depth of 100 metres and shocks of 5000G, the Flying Tourbillon Grande Date B1.618 has been designed to be versatile and worn every day including during sports and water activities.
Only 200 pieces will be produced this year.
