HAMILTON REVIVES THE FAMOUS PANDA DIAL FOR THE NEW INTRA-MATIC AUTO CHRONO
INTRODUCING A NEW AMERICAN CLASSIC INSPIRED BY HAMILTON’S PIONEERING HERITAGE
Hamilton celebrates its Chronograph A from 1968, presenting a model that draws on the classic good looks of its ancestor. This is a piece Hamilton fans and lovers of vintage-look watches will want to get their hands on. This is the new Intra-Matic Automatic Chronograph.
The new 40 mm stainless steel case is slightly larger than the 36 mm original – the first hint that this is a watch updated to reflect modern tastes. With an authentic late 60s look and feel, the case is the perfect housing for the exclusive H-31 automatic chronograph movement. With extended 60 hour power reserve, the H-31 delivers Swiss precision and includes a practical date function – another update for 2018.
The highlight is, of course, the original panda dial that was so popular in the 60s and 70s. Even the font and Hamilton logo across the dial are the historic version from 1968. The carbon paper blue dial with off-white matt chronograph counters is a touch of monochrome magic from Hamilton, a much-loved design element that is true to the American spirit of the 50-year-old original Chronograph A. The matt finishing gives a unique ‘flat’ effect that is authentically vintage in look and feel as well as deliberately muted for such a striking overall piece.
Versatile, classic and designed for those who appreciate classic American style, the new Intra-Matic Auto Chrono also benefits from a soft touch leather strap for added comfort and wearability.
The Hamilton Intra-Matic Auto Chrono is the true embodiment of a modern American Classic, combining the Swiss precision and American spirit only Hamilton can offer.
