Long Island Quatre Saisons
The Long Island Four Seasons is a modern reinterpretation of the "Novecento" style. The design of the watch celebrates the Art Deco spirit, one of the main sources of inspiration for Franck Muller.
Its delicately traced geometric lines are a distinct reminder of that era and Franck Muller’s interpretation takes us to the heart of the elegant and sophisticated world of the 1930s.
With its pure, rectangular shape decorated with bright colors in the form of baguette diamonds, its figures that appear both straight and arched, and its colored pastille at the center that reveals the colored precious stones. Long Island is the very synthesis of early twentieth century artistic inspiration.
This timepiece composed by different of precious stones that adorn the caseband and the dial creating a harmonious assortment of hues representing each season.
Firstly comes Spring a palette of greens. It is the incarnation of the awakening of nature; of leaf-less trees coming to life under the effect of the milder temperatures.
Summer follows a palette of yellows. This is the period during which most plants bear fruit. It is a prosperous period, the zenith of life.
Then comes Autumn a palette of reds. The deciduous trees prepare to become dormant; the leaves lose their green, taking on orange yellow, brown or even red hues. Finally comes Winter a palette of blues. Many plants do not survive the winter. However, some of them adapt and make the best of the insulation provided by the snow to reappear, better than ever, in the spring.
Franck Muller is offering a brilliant, elegant and refined interpretation of the four seasons.
