LONGIO MI TIME ART - Winter
 
This watch design was inspired from the Chinese flower-and bird. Wintersweet and  bird using fine straws as the material, which has been cut into small pieces as fine as silk, inlaid on the dial to shape up a lifelike relief of the roost bird.
 
"Straw mosaic" is a kind traditional Chinese Art which has two thousand years of history, a unique technique different from other Chinese traditional arts and crafts.
 
After thousands of years of development, China "straw mosaic" crafts combines the techniques of printmaking, paper cutting and artistic expression of Chinese painting. To finish a fine "Straw mosaic" , the craftsman need to go through the process of cutting, bleaching, scraping, grinding, hot stamping, smoked and other detail procedures, and uncountable failures, to finish a small pieces of artwork.
 
"Straw mosaic" completely reflects the perseverance quality of the Chinese artist, and demonstrate the distinctive aesthetic by their micro-craftsman.
