Description
MOSER PERPETUAL MOONA special watch with almost perpetual accuracy of the moon phase display. After more than 1,000 years of uninterrupted service, the error of this display is only 1 day. Yet this alone was not enough to satisfy the master watchmakers at Moser. They have created a movement in which the moon phase can be set to the minute. There is also a scale, with the help of which the internationally accepted 8 astronomical standard phases of the moon can be predicted. In fact, this is the first time that a moon phase display which is highly accurate over such a long period has been incorporated in a wristwatch. Combined with the ability to predict the full moon or the new moon, for example. This display is complemented with a 24-hour hand, which indicates the subdivision of the day into ante meridiem and post meridiem. The 8 standard moon phases can be adjusted with a pin push-button arranged discreetly at 9 o'clock. Precise setting of the time for the moon phase is performed via the crown. This extraordinary watch is realized in platinum in the three-part perpetual designer case that is reserved for specialities. The see-through back is adapted to the shape of the wrist and lends its curved form to the bezel before flowing into the usual round form of the antireflective sapphire crystal. This elegance is emphasized by a dark blue fumé dial with white gold appliquéd details, a hallmark unique to Moser. Of course, this watch also features the typical interchangeability of the Moser escapement with its gold pallet fork and gold escape wheel. The use of a dual spring barrel guarantees a power reserve of at least seven days. A further characteristic element of Moser is the positioning of the power reserve display on the rear of the movement that is decorated with Moser ground stripes. A strap made of crocodile leather with a folding clasp in solid platinum completes the MOSER PERPETUAL MOON.
