S110
Power reserve: 40 h, 18600 vph
Act 1, 2008
Bold. Unexpected. Pioneer mechanics, prism display. The watch immediately becomes an icon of the watch generation of 2000s.
Act 2, 2013
Sequential One S110. Urban. Impetuous. The icon is revamped to shape the Time in a perfectly controlled industrial architecture.
Sequential hours, rotating minutes. Industrialism in the core of the design, in-house mechanics, intransigent. Sequential One S110 imposes a noble-breed vision of time. Sharp. Mighty spurt into the modern world to enrich the heritage of Haute Horlogerie.
The universe of a contemporary city unfolds in a case of grade 5. The lung of the watch is the in-house mechanical movement with a manual winding. Its architecture is a vibrant tribute to a metropolis spirit by designer Fabrice Gonet.
Square-shaped case. Combines tradition and avant-garde, classical and modern. The square of case is softened by curved contours tending to a sphere shape. Illusively brittle angles. The frame is resolutely sharp. Pierced by a band of sapphire crystal, watch case allows the penetration of light into the heart of the movement. Compartmentalized time gears expose their sagacious structure. Elements rotate around axes in three dimensions at different speeds at different points of time. The hours and minutes compete for space to demonstrate their personality.
Engraved on the surfaces of the mobile triangular prisms, hours appear one by one. The opposed prisms turn discreetly to change the display and to disclose the next hour numeral. Once revealed, the monumental hour character partially hidden beneath the minute circle, immediately dominate the space.
The minute circle claims a total autonomy. Interrupted on a 90 ° sector, it discovers the actual time while hiding other hour numerals. At each change, it will turn anticlockwise to release the next hour. The needle is on zero, ready to start a new race of 60 minutes.
The “mise en scene” plays with the volumes and shapes to transform the motion of movement and the space. Cross-shaped bridge hangs over the slatted background. The extended bridge arms support the minute disc. This assemblage creates a subtle game of relief and levels. All these fine components require a specific and complex cutting before being meticulously finished by hand. Visual effects are amazing. Profoundness of the scope hypnotizes. Sequential One S110 wields lightness and strength, freedom and architectural rigor.
Behind aesthetics that enhance the complexity of the time stands the hand-wound mechanical movement entirely designed in-house. Composed of 471 elements it draws up an energy storage system (40 hours of power reserve) to spin the minute disc and turn the prisms. A sophisticated anchor clutch prevents over-winding. As the watchmaking tradition requires the finishing are handmade, decorations are carved in the precious material. 81 rubies complete the scene.
Newcomer in the world of Haute Horlogerie, the Sequential One S110 is a porter of 21st techno-century DNA. Its prospects extend to infinity. It introduces the time in a fundamentally urban structure. Revolutionary technical and aesthetically abundant, filigree and option-confident this timepiece absorbs the Swiss Made quality and the expertise of Haute Horlogerie.
