Swordfish Black Knight

An eye-opening view of time in technicolor

Resolutely designed for the bold and the beautiful, the Swordfish from Graham Chronographs appears clothed in two brand-new outfits that further intensify its arresting visual appeal. In line with the revived and perpetuated Graham spirit of invention, it continues to represent a powerfully innovative expression of technical sophistication.

Lessons in horological anatomy
The Swordfish boasts the kind of unique technical features that are the very essence of the uncompromising brand philosophy. The cleverly recessed and ridged tip of the crown ensures a perfect grip, as do the push-buttons with their “clous de Paris” motif. The entirely polished case is topped by a fine-brushed bezel, while the dipping design of the lugs framing the robust 46 mm stainless steel case (water-resistant to 330 feet) guarantees a perfect fit. The Swordfish is secured firmly to the wrist by an allergy free silicon rubber strap, complete with an extra large stainless steel Graham buckle. For those who prefer an all-metal look and feel, the new models also feature an alternative stainless steel polished bracelet.

Time magnified and transcended
The magnifying sapphire crystals protecting the 12-hour/sweep seconds and 30-minute chronograph counters reinforce the intriguing optical effect of depth created by the shape of the case. By widening the gap between the protuberant eyes of the Swordfish, Graham has simultaneously freed up space for an additional circle in the middle to facilitate reading off information. The brand's inimitable “Drive Left' concept is signalled by an L just above 6 o'clock on the dial of one version, while an R for right stands for the more conventional arrangement. Hour-markers, numerals, hour and minute hands are all luminescent for optimal night-time visibility.

The colours of time

Swordfish Soft Yellow
The Soft Yellow version offers a striking play on contrasts that enhances legibility, created by the black counter “eyes” underscored by their yellow “pupils” in the centre, the yellow dial base with black graduated outer scale and green Superluminova® substance filling the black base of the Arabic 12 and 6 numerals and the hour-markers.

Swordfish Black Knight
For the Black Knight model, the white transferred minute circle stands out against the matt black base, further highlighted by bright orange 12 and 6 numerals, hour-markers and orange-tipped or filled hands, and red and white counter details. The version in black PVD will be issued in a limited edition of 200.
In addition to its own inimitable signature features, these vivid new accents and fascinating contrasts that are not only eye-catching but also improve readability enable Swordfish to capture the gaze in a hypnotic grip, drawing the fascinated observer into the infinite depths of time.

Résolument conçu pour l'audacieux et le beau, le Chronographe Swordfish de Graham se pare aujourd'hui de deux toutes nouvelles combinaisons qui intensifient davantage sa beauté à couper le souffle. En accord avec l'esprit d'invention ressuscité et perpétué propre à Graham, ce modèle continue à représenter l'expression puissante du raffinement technique.

Leçons d'anatomie horlogère
La Swordfish se targue de détails techniques uniques qui constituent l'essence même de la philosophie sans concession de la marque. La couronne, judicieusement biseautée et crénelée, assure une prise parfaite, tout comme les boutons-poussoirs, avec leur motif clous de Paris. Entièrement polie et étanche à 100 m, la robuste boîte en acier de 46 mm dispose d'une lunette finement brossée et de cornes plongeantes garantissant un ajustement parfait. La Swordfish est fermement maintenue sur le poignet par un bracelet en silicone-caoutchouc anti-allergique agrémenté d'une boucle en acier extra-large signée Graham. Pour ceux qui préfèrent l'aspect et la sensation des montres en métal, les nouveaux modèles sont également équipés d'un bracelet en acier.

Le temps magnifié et transcendé
Les glaces saphir grossissantes protégeant les compteurs des 12 heures/secondes et des 30 minutes chronographe renforcent l'effet optique intriguant de profondeur créé par la forme de la boîte. En élargissant l'écart entre les «yeux» protubérants de la Swordfish, Graham a du même coup libéré l'espace du milieu pour placer un compteur additionnel facilitant la lecture de l'information. L'inimitable concept Drive Left de Graham est indiqué par un L (pour Left) juste au-dessus de 6h sur le cadran de l'une des versions, tandis qu'un R (pour «Right») signale la disposition plus conventionnelle. Luminescents, index et chiffres, mais aussi aiguilles des heures et des minutes offrent une excellente lecture dans l'obscurité.

Swordfish Soft Yellow
La version Soft Yellow offre un jeu saisissant de contrastes qui augmente la lisibilité, créé par les compteurs noirs en forme d'yeux que soulignent leur pupille jaune au centre, le cadran jaune avec échelle graduée extérieure et Superluminova® remplissant la base noire des chiffres 12 et 6, ainsi que des index.

Swordfish Black Knight
Pour le modèle Black Knight, la décalque de la minuterie en blanc contraste avec le noir mat de la boîte, que renforce encore l'orange brillant des chiffres 12 et 6, des index et des aiguilles, ainsi que les détails rouges et blancs dans les compteurs. La version en PVD noir sera produite en édition limitée de 200 exemplaires.

En plus de ces caractéristiques inimitables, ces nouveaux et superbes contrastes améliorent la lisibilité et permettent à la Swordfish d'entraîner le regard de l'observateur fasciné vers les profondeurs abyssales du temps.
