Description

A true demonstration of the craftsmanship and expertise of La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton, the two new Tambour Moon Flying Tourbillon “Poinçon de Genève” complete the colour palette of this exceptionally transparent family of watches. The case, crafted from a block of sapphire, takes on a neon shade of yellow that is particularly difficult to achieve. This creation – the very first sapphire case watch collection to bear the Geneva Seal – reveals in minute detail every facet of its Manufacture movement, masterfully openworked and regulated by a flying tourbillon.

Every component – from the case-band, the case back, and the bridge adorned with the LV logo – is carved out of a single block of sapphire crystal, then machined with diamond-tipped tools to achieve the piece’s final dimensions. All the elements are then delicately polished to reveal their transparency and the richness of their meticulously selected colour.

It takes up to 420 hours of complex operations to complete each watch’s sapphire case.

This light-flooded case draws the eye of the observer across the almost spider-like architecture of the movement and its meticulous finishing required to meet the criteria of the Geneva Seal. This transparent aesthetic allows the flying tourbillon to take centre stage in a finely openworked carriage taking the shape of the iconic Monogram Flower.
