Tangente 38 Date Sportbunt

The world of fine mechanical watches is still predominantly black and white. Yet color creates diversity and expresses individuality. Which is why NOMOS Glashütte has created a limited-edition collection of its iconic watch model Tangente in 31 colorful versions. Each version of Tangente 38 date bears its own special name and tells its own story. Take Tangente 38 date Sportbunt, for example. Its light red dial is framed by a turquoise minute ring and golden yellow outer ring, while the sub-seconds dial provides a counterpoint in dark red. A complex color composition that is reminiscent of 70s fashion, Olympic rings, and the bright and cheerful days of youth. The finishing touch is a woven textile strap in dark gray, tailor made for NOMOS in France, which is completely waterproof and comfortable to wear.

At work within Tangente 38 date Sportbunt is DUW 4101, a manual winding mechanical caliber with a date function and in-house escapement, adjusted according to chronometer values. The date function is patented and is the reason that this watch is a tick larger than the original Tangente model, at 37.5 millimeters in diameter. A notable detail is the color of the date ring, which is perfectly matched to the main dial.
