Description
There was Time Square, and now there's Time Space. A geometric,
extremely refined watch that reinvents the concept of the dial,
while revealing its stunning technical features.
The circle gives way to the square. A new watch shape is born,
challenging the rules of geometry; with four cut sides, we square the
circle…
An important detail: The cut sides reinforce the overall finesse of
the piece, which measures just under 5.95 millimetres thick providing a
case – in black, white or pink gold – of impressive dimensions: 43 x 43
millimetres.
With its Frédéric Piguet 15-line extra-thin mechanical hand-wound
calibre displaying hours and minutes in the centre, the Time Space
demonstrates exceptional finesse with a ‘cavalier' function… That of
transforming the bottom plate into a dial. A bushed plate engraved with
the GE logo and reinforced with a black ruthenium treatment displays
screws, jewels and other components in an entirely original fashion.
Functional screws on the bezel hold together the two parts of the
case, making it a strong and distinctive aesthetic element… Yet another
detail adding to the beauty of the piece.
The Time Space, geometric ambassador of Guy Ellia, is water resistant
to 30 metres, mounted on an alligator leather strap with a gold pin
buckle. It boasts a sapphire crystal glass and case back, and a diamond
cabochon on the winding button.
