Milus TIRION TriRetrograde Seconds Skeleton Titanium Bicolour

– spectacular interplay of hands

Bienne, June, 2009 - The tradition-rich Swiss watch brand Milus is presenting the TIRION TriRetrograde Seconds Skeleton for the first time as a bicolour version. This quality timepiece in titanium and 18K red gold shows its strengths in both design and technology The exact rhythm of the retrograde seconds function in three sectors of 20 seconds each is given by a Swiss quality mechanical movement in an exclusive special version with automatic winding. The name of the TIRION is derived from the constellation of Orion, one of the most easily recognizable and brightest in the heavens, located in the equatorial region of the sky.

The fascinating triRetrograde function is housed in a powerful round 9-part case made of titanium with an impressive diameter of 45mm. The strong, definitive presence of the bezel in 18K red gold forms the perfect framework for the exquisitely designed time display. And just as the TriRetrograde function is different and rare, so is its dial in two layers unique: the movement base is covered by genuine carbon fibre and the second level consists of a plate in the same high-tech material. Here, dynamically placed and easily readable, are the Arabic hour numerals and indices. Positioned at 6 o'clock, the large date is displayed to its full advantage

The imposing round case in titanium forms the perfect framework for the creative core elements of the dial. It is built up of two layers: the movement base is covered by genuine carbon fibre and the second level consists of a plate in the same high-tech material. Here, dynamically placed and easily readable, are the Arabic hour numerals and indices. Positioned at 6 o'clock, the large date is displayed to its full advantage

The heart of the dial and the watch is formed by the round inner skeleton area. This is where the three seconds-display sectors with the eye-catching and stunning second hands in the shape of an oscillating rotor are placed. Positioned in three separate circle segments at 6, 10 and 2 o'clock, they work in ‘flying relay' clockwise.

Starting at 6 o'clock, the first hand in the shape of an oscillating rotor performs its spectacular 20 seconds ride and swings instantly back to the right to its starting position. Going clockwise, the next seconds hand at 10 o'clock followed by the third at 2 o'clock accomplish the same journey. This alternation tirelessly repeats itself, giving the overall impression of a magic and fascinating dance portrayed by these outstandingly shaped seconds hands.

Superlative technology lays bare its secrets - lovers of consummate craftsmanship will be fascinated. And this timepiece shows off its talents at the back of the case too, in that the round convex sapphire crystal window gives a view of the movement, in particular the skeleton oscillating weight in the form of the Milus logo with the engraved brand' symbol in the centre. A comfortable alligator leather strap with rubber coating complete the dynamic appearance of the watch.

An exceptional function combined with extravagant design and finest Swiss watchmaking art: with the TIRION TriRetrograde Seconds Skeleton Titanium Bicolour, Milus honours the passage of time – for every second counts.
