With this limited series we find ourselves face to face with what could be the newest "cult object" in the deLaCour collection.

The first time-piece in the world with a double chronograph, deLaCour continues the search for new materials transforming each piece into a unique work of art.

Following in the footsteps of the deLaCour Hommage model, with a sphere crafted from natural root of walnut: arrives another world premiere, an authentic Cuban tobacco leaf encapsulated on the watch face surface.

*The Havana leaf adheres to the watch face and contrasts with the Mother of Pearl backdrop of the chronographs.

The distinctive texture, with the naturally soft play of veins, portrays forever unique shapes and shades making each piece a unique creation.

Advancing towards the personalisation of the product.

The characteristic colour of this tobacco, appreciated for quality, confers a seal of recognition/identification to this limited series.

It goes without saying; obtaining these results has not been easy task.

A leaf is delicate "living" being, prey to continuous change.

The first challenge that we had to confront was to obtain an exact and clean cut; next it was fundamental to find a bonding agent which would allow us to capture forever and preserve the delicate nature of our subject.

After several months of tests, we discovered a compatible natural vegetal resin, of the required purity which allowed us to maintain the physical and aesthetic characteristics of the leaf while avoiding undesired changes of state with the passage of time.

The painstaking craftsmanship, a constant in each and every deLaCour process, and the attested commitment to the guarantee of "Individually Crafted" is present in all levels of the process of manufacture. This commitment to exquisite quality together with high technology of the mechanical components defines our concept of craftsmanship, manual elaboration with artistic and modern connotations.

The choice of Bichrono "Fidelidad", as the name of this model, was to pay tribute to the fidelity of deLaCour to the philosophy of high crafts and to the invaluable first craftsman who takes part in the manufacture process: the expert Cuban selector of the Havana tobacco leaf.

At a time where aggressive and cold Marketing predominates, where technology is justified as a means unto itself, a new concept of the time influences the choices of deLaCour.

The best time measurement technology, the Maximum precision that can be obtained, the arrogant infallibility is already easily accessible to all.

It is much more preferable to put the emphasis on the symbolic, cultural, sensitive aspects.

Nous sommes en présence, de ce que nous pourrions dénommé comme l'objet culte de deLaCour.

Première montre dotée d'un double chronographe au monde, continue la recherche de nouveaux matériaux, qui rende unique chaque exemplaire produit.

Après le modèle Hommage avec son cadran en authentique bois d'Anloupe, autre innovatrice idée : une authentique feuille de havane cubain qui s'adhère au cadran et contraste fortement avec les compteurs en nacre.

La particularité de la texture, avec son doux veinage, qui laissent apparaître diverses formes, rend exclusif chaque exemplaire. Personnalisant ainsi le produit.

La couleur nommée Havane caractéristique appréciée pour cette qualité de tabac confère un cachet d'identification de la série.

Obtenir un résultat pareil, n'a pas été mince affaire.

Une feuille est un composant "vivant", délicat sujet à de continues modifications.

Le premier défi à affronter fut d'obtenir une coupe exacte et propre; par la suite, il était essentiel de trouver un vernis qui garantisse sa pérennité.

Bien des mois d'essais, on trouva enfin la résine naturelle végétale compatible de conserver les caractéristiques physiques ainsi qu'esthétiques de la feuille sans altérer sa texture dans un espace temps.

Un extrême soin artisanal, constant sur les montres deLaCour, en témoigne de la garantie "Individually Crafted", se trouve présent à chaque étape du processus de fabrication, uni à la haute technologie des composants mécaniques.

Le concept d'artisanat sous- entendu comme l'élaboration manuelle avec connotation artistiques et modernes.

Prénommé Fidelidad, ce modèle de Bichrono, se veut le témoin de la fidélité que porte la maison deLaCour à cette philosophie de grand artisanat et principalement à son premier artisan qui intervient dans cette fabrication : l'expert cubain qui sélectionne les feuilles de havane.
