The inverted Tourbillon Minute-Repeater in platinum

BOVET introduces a new version of its Tourbillon and Minute-Repeater combination in a handsome black dial with applied roman numerals.

The unique feature of this hand-wound movement is that it is upside-down. The chiming work of the Minute-Repeater, as well as the Tourbillon and the going-train are under the dial. This means that the drive of the movement has to be reversed so that the hands turn clockwise dial-side. The inverted construction enables the main machinery of the watch to be displayed in new ways on the face of the watch.

In the new model, the dial is cut away to show the Tourbillon carriage flanked by the engraved bridges of the movement, while the under-dial mechanism, including the reverse gear, is held by a bridge on top of the dial.

This remarkable inverted movement, is combining the two most difficult horological complications. BOVET's best craftsmen build and engrave fewer than 12 of these movements a year.

For this model, the 39-jewel, 18,000v/h movement is housed in a 39mm BOVET Fleurier case in platinum with cabochon sapphires topping the crown and the strap-bolts. The dial is finished in a special black gloss.
